Whistler Waterfall Tours

There are several great options to see local waterfalls with easy hikes around Whistler. Shannon Falls, Brandywine Falls and Nairn Falls make for the best waterfall tours. These waterfalls are easy to access, free of any admission costs and have short, easy walks (on a well groomed trails) through the forest to view.

Bandywine Falls

Brandywine Falls is our top pick for best overall Waterfall. The Falls is measured at 70 meters tall. It is 47 kilometres north of Squamish off Highway 99 (the Sea-To-Sky highway). The falls area is a great spot for photographs and views of the surrounding mountains too. There is also Lake Daisy, which is a picturesque lake.

There is a short walk / hike to Brandywine Falls. It can be done by almost any level of mobility in about 10 – 20 minutes (one way). There is a recently completed, new viewing platform overlooking Brandywine Falls. There are also short walking paths to a second viewpoint of the falls and another of the surrounding area of Daisy Lake and the Black Tusk mountain top view.

Shannon Falls

Shannon Falls is a very popular waterfall destination. The waterfall is composed of a series of cliffs that rise 335 metres above the highway. This is the third highest falls in the province of British Columbia. Shannon Falls park is easily accessible from Highway 99. The park also provides picnicking and access to popular hiking trails.

There is an easy 350 metre long walking trail through a forest of Western hemlock, Douglas fir and Western red cedar along Shannon Creek which leads to the main waterfall viewpoint. This viewpoint affords a spectacular view of the roaring falls. During wet and snowy conditions our chauffeurs will advise if conditions are safe enough to enter the falls area.

Shannon Falls is located 58 km north of Vancouver and 2 km south of Squamish.

Nairn Falls

Nairn Falls is located 20 minutes north of Whistler. This park provides a good base camp for exploring Whistler, the Pemberton Valley or nearby Garibaldi Provincial Park.

There is a 3 km round-trip hike to view Nairn Falls. This trip is the traditional route used by the Lil’wat Nation to access the falls and Mount Currie. The trail starts at the day-use parking lot. Hikers should allow at least 1 hour for the hike and wear proper hiking attire. Please stay on the trail and take care along the steep banks and drop offs. This river runs very fast and is very cold. Mountain Bikes are not permitted on this trail.
